Château Brane-Cantenac

Founded in the eighteenth century by the family of Gorge that gave it its name, the great vineyard of Brane Cantenac product well before the 1855 one of the most famous wines of the Médoc. The listing of Château Brane-Cantenac places ahead of second growth. No wonder that the Baron de Brane dynamic buyer door of Château Brane-Cantenac in 1833.
Pioneer of viticulture, he knows the reputation and the great potential of this exceptional terroir, largely located on the famous Brane rump. In 1838, eager to leave an indelible mark, he chose to rename "Brane-Cantenac." In 1956, Lucien Lurton inherited Brane-Cantenac. While ensuring a high profile for Brane Cantenac he bought many listed and crus bourgeois. This iconic winemaker of Bordeaux in 1992 bequeathed the property of Brane Cantenac to his son Henry. oenologist, he is on a mission to perpetuate the style of Brane Cantenac.
This wine is elegant, aromatic, both complex and balanced. Its success lies in his attention to the quality of the vintage and especially the wonderful terroir.
